Celebrating
Charlene Vanover
Charlene Carter Vanover departed life on August 7, 2021 in Suwanee, Georgia. Charlene was born on March 25, 1949. She accepted Jesus Christ at Vacation Bible School as a young girl. She met her husband, Gary Vanover, while they attended Chamblee High School. They were married 54 years. She loved reading her Bible, praying, serving in the ministry that she helped start, A Blessing to the Nations, and spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 54 years, Gary Lynn Vanover and her three children; Christopher David Vanover (wife Peggy), Heather Lynn Bjorensen (husband Clifford), and Lauren Denise Barreno (husband Juan Carlos); her sisters; Denise Langabeer (husband Harvey) and Suzanne Carter; and her brother; Brett Carter (wife Annette). She was also cherished by her grandchildren; Katharine and Allie Vanover; Emily, Ellie, and Sadie Bjorensen; and Israel, Sebastian, and Santiago Barreno.
She loved cooking, sewing, reading good books, telling people about Jesus, and camping with her family. She was known in the ministry as a “Mother-like one” to many. Her desire was for the ministry to continue reaching the least of God’s children. For that reason the ministry will finish the race strong.
